10 stitch blanket

10 stitch knitted blanket
Marina’s blanket

Karin’s 10 stitch blanket tutorial the other week has really got people going. There are several people making the 10 stitch blanket now and Alexis brought in hers so we could see what it would look like if you don’t do the wraps at the corners. There is such enthusiasm for this now and it is good to watch the blankets grow. Marina count in hers. She has worked on different techniques and tired different things and is now happy with what she is doing. That’s the thing. This is a project where you want it to look the way you want ti to look and you want to be able to knit it the way you want to be able to knit it.

Apparently , you can knit a 10 stitch blanket on a loom too. The comments underneath this video tend to suggest it may or may not work well. Certainly worth a try if you have a loom and want to try something different.

  1. Hello, just to tell you that you lovely people have also inspired me with making a ten stitch blanket. Although I wasn’t all that keen at the beginning because I thought it would be too slow to grow, I ditched the experimental one with numerous mistakes and started another blanket using a big bag of tapestry yarn someone gave me. It’s looking fabulous. I think it’s about 70cm along one edge. I’m hopeless at blogging at the moment but at some point I’ll show a picture of it or I can email a picture to you. Anyway, thank you so much for the inspiration 🌼🌼🌼

    1. That is great and we have all found we are apt to start and unstart then start again until we are happy with the blanket. There are those who just start and keep going but the rest of us seem to need to mess about with the pattern and yarn until we are happy. Would love to see your blanket when you are ready. It’s all busy for everyone so no rush. seaford.spinnersandweavers@gmail.com if you want to email. πŸ™‚ xx
