Monday brought us another colourfest. We use all sorts of colours but we believe bold is beautiful. On a cold winter’s day you need to see this kind of vibrant colour to lift your spirits. Top left is the locally dyed wool which Marjorie had messaged through to us during our meeting from where she is on the Gold Coast. Such rich tropical colours. Top right is Karin’s beautiful crocheted blanket which was so cheerful and uplifting. We all loved those bright colours. Bottom left is Margaret’s trio of yarn skeins for which she had won first prize at the Royal Adelaide Show one year. She had them in her cupboard and brought them along because it’s nearly Show time again! There’s the pink mohair, the lavender cold dyed wool and the black spun with beads. They are all very special. Then, Sheila tipped out a bag of colourful alpaca fleece which she had dyed. The cascading colour caught everyone’s eye. We don’t know what she’ll be doing with it but it will be good to find out. Colours like this are good medicine. They are very positive in their impact.
