Maria had her teenie tiny double pointed needles out and was knitting a set of finger puppets. We were singing the nursery rhymes and just having fun. An exercise in cheerfulness as much as anything else. Finger puppets bring children and their imaginations out. They can interact with them, create stories with them and engage with them in different ways. Finger puppets can’t hurt them , they take up little room and so are easily transportable. Marie was knitting the Grand Old Duke of York at the time of the photo. There are some little barnyard finger puppets on Howstuffworks if you are interested. Instructables also has some little finger puppets to knit and use up your oddments .
